2009 AWARDS
For over 25 years, Mollie Isaacs' work has received widespread acclaim. Her most recent accolades were:
~ named Photographer of the Year by the Professional Photographers of America
~ recipient of the Imaging Excellence Award, one of only 14 awarded worldwide
~ recipient of her 14th Kodak Gallery Award , the "Oscar" of photography, for her book "The Whalehead Club - A Legacy Preserved."
2008 AWARDS
Mollie was awarded the Kodak Gallery Award for her artistic creation "Trilogy," a piece she created digitally from three seashells. She also won a First Place award for "Band of Brothers," a portrait of six young brothers walking along the beach. These photographs also won national recognition at the 2008 International Professional Photographers of America competition, as well as a beach landscape photograph taken in Olympic National Park in Washington state.
2007 Awards
Mollie received the Kodak Gallery Award for 'Spiral Simplicity', an artistic rendering of a nautilus shell that, through the magic of her digital art skills, appears to be stained glass. She also won a First Place award for an evocative beach portrait of a little girl running exuberantly toward the beach at sunset.
2006 Awards
Mollie won a Kodak Gallery Award for an elegant commercial photograph of the interior of a custom beach house, titled "Simple Sophistication." She also won a Fuji Masterpiece Award for a landscape of the Albemarle Sound titled "Calm Before The Storm." Both of these pieces also won national recognition at the 2006 International Professional Photographers of America competition, along with a beach portrait of three sisters titled "Follow Me."
Book Published
Mollie had the honor of being commissioned by the famous Outer Banks landmark, the historic Whalehead Club, to produce their official coffee table book. The book was released in November 2006, and is a showcase of over 100 beautiful photographs of the National Historic Register home and its surroundings.
